Established in 2001, the Istanbul Ticaret Üniversitesi (Istanbul Commerce University) is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large metropolis of Istanbul (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the YÖK - Yüksekögretim Kurulu (YÖK - Council of Higher Education), Istanbul Ticaret Üniversitesi (ITICU / ICU) is a medium-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 8,000-8,999 students) coeducational Turkish higher education institution. Istanbul Ticaret Üniversitesi (ITICU / ICU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. This 23-year-old Turkish higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. The acceptance rate range is 90-99% making this Turkish higher education organization a least selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. ITICU / ICU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sports facilities, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.

Istanbul Ticaret University has three main campuses located in different areas of Istanbul:
