Okan University aims to build a bridge between the academic and the business world. To this end, the university enables students to work at firms as part of its Preparing for Business Life Program, starting from their freshman year. This program not only helps students to become familiar with business life and improve their knowledge and skills by putting theory into practice, but serves to motivate the students as well. Students who have successfully completed the Preparing for Business Life Program are presented with a participation certificate as well as other work experience certifications added to their diplomas when they graduate.
World University Rankings: In the 2024 edition of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, Okan Universit is placed in the 801-1000 range.
According to the results announced by Round University Ranking (RUR)
Okan IS 32th among universities in Türkiye and 11th among foundation universities.

Depending on your exact destination on campus, you might need to take a bus or taxi to the university. The university is about 10–15 minutes away from Tuzla Metro Station by bus or taxi.
From Taksim (via Metro and Marmaray)

From Taksim, take the Funicular to Karaköy, and transfer to the Marmaray Line at Karaköy or Sirkeci station.

Ride the Marmaray Line (towards Gebze) and get off at Tuzla Station.

Once you arrive at Tuzla Station, you can take a bus or a taxi to the university. It’s approximately 10–15 minutes from Tuzla Station to the campus by taxi.

It is located in the Mecidiyekoy district in the European part of Istanbul, where it contains the Faculty of Dentistry, the Training Hospital, and some of the treaties.
