About International Black Sea University University
International Black Sea University has been active in education and research since 1995. It was the first institution in Georgia to offer programs in English, providing education in both English and Georgian across all three academic levels. The university currently offers 50 accredited educational programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels, and publishes six peer-reviewed scientific journals.
The university prides itself on a multicultural, student-focused environment, ensuring high-quality teaching through both local and international professors. Its academic programs emphasize the development of transferable skills. The teaching approach incorporates modern methodologies and the latest technologies, and the design of its programs takes into account the importance of analytical thinking, teamwork, decision-making, planning, and prioritization skills, as well as the role of technology in the labor market.

The university is involved in several international projects, including Erasmus +, DAAD, Tempus, Visegrad Fund, and Black Sea Cross Border Cooperation, and is the beneficiary of several scientific grants of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia.
In 2019, International Black Sea University became a member of the Magna Charta Consortium, a globally recognized university association, which unites about 1000 leading educational institutions in the world.
IBSU is also a member of the Francophone University Agency (AUF) and cooperates with 40 global universities and international organizations.
